Bio

Marc Renne studied Business Economics in Rotterdam. Following a spell at Exxon, he joined the Investment Management & Consulting Group. After three years as a consultant, he performed his first management buy-in in 1989. A second MBI followed in 1991. This company was sold six years later. During the same period Marc completed the AMP programme at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. Following the sale of the second company, Marc became Director of Business Development at Geveke NV. Here he was responsible for overall company strategy and all M&A activities. After a short period at a private equity company, Marc joined Nimbus in 2001 as its third partner. He has had ties with Nimbus since its formation in 1993, when he joined the group of informal investors. Marc enjoys combining his experience in making deals and in hands-on turnaround management.
