Rohan joined NextEnergy Capital in January 2019 as Managing Director of the NextPower III investment fund. In this role, he is responsible for leading our growth into new global markets. Rohan has 19 years of experience in the infrastructure industry, mainly power generation and distribution. With former roles as a banker, lender, advisor and investor, he has transacted on over 100 deals totalling $20Bn in value in several geographies including US, Canada, Mexico, South Africa, Thailand, India, Japan, and the Caribbean. Prior to joining NextEnergy Capital, Rohan was a senior business development executive at Sonnedix focused on market entry in the US and Asia. He was particularly instrumental in their Japan platform where he led a large M&A acquisition that doubled their platform size. Other former employers include Credit Agricole, HSH Nordbank, and SunEdison where he held senior roles in both project finance and business development. Rohan holds a Master’s Degree in Foreign Service and International Business from Georgetown University (1999), an MBA degree from the University of Poona (1995), and a BA in Economics from the University of Delhi (1993).
