Bio

Bharati joined NewQuest in 2016 and is responsible for sourcing, execution and porfolio management of investments in India and Southeast Asia. Bharati focuses on consumer and TMT sectors. Prior to joining NewQuest, Bharati was a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group working across their Mumbai, Delhi and London offices. Bharati has also been a consultant with the United Nations World Food Programme in Rome and Johannesburg, and worked at a boutique consulting firm in London. She has a MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, where she was an S. M. Shah Scholar, an MSc in Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she was a PJD Wiles Scholar, and a BSc in Economics (Mathematics, Statistics Minor) from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, where she ranked in the University top 1%. She is fluent in English, Hindi and Bengali.
