Bio

Mr. Zlotky joined NGP in 2015 and serves as Partner and General Counsel of the NGP funds. He applies his broad experience in the energy and private equity industries to the structuring and execution of transactions on behalf of both NGP and its portfolio companies. Prior to joining NGP, Mr. Zlotky spent his entire professional career with the global law firm of Thompson & Knight LLP, where he was a partner in their Corporate and Securities practice group, with an emphasis on energy finance and private equity. During his tenure, Mr. Zlotky served in a variety of increasing management positions, including as its global Managing Partner from 2009 to 2012 and as a member of the board of directors of the Thompson & Knight Foundation. Mr. Zlotky has extensive experience in the structuring and organization of private equity funds on behalf of sponsors and investors, the investment activities of private equity funds, and mergers and acquisitions. In his tenure with Thompson & Knight, Mr. Zlotky was an advisor to NGP and worked on a variety of significant matters, including the formation of several NGP investment funds, significant investment transactions, and other key transactions involving NGP portfolio companies such as Energy Transfer Company and TEAK Midstream. Mr. Zlotky attended Princeton University, from which he graduated magna cum laude, and The University of Texas School of Law, from which he graduated with honors and served as an Associate Editor of the Texas Law Review.
