Mr. Kim has 20 years of experience, working in private equity investing, M&A, and capital raising. James rejoined the firm in 2022 having helped found MTN Capital Partners at inception. Previously, he was a Managing Director at Sphaeris Capital Management, an investment manager and advisor specializing in advising PE-owned and other companies on comprehensive add-on acquisitions and roll-up programs worldwide, as well as making proprietary private credit and equity investments for clients and affiliated entities. Prior to Sphaeris Capital Management, James was a Managing Director at the Fosun Group, in the China Momentum Fund, a private equity platform managing two funds totaling $1.6 billion. He focused on investing in both private and public equity in global consumer products, healthcare, industrial, and technology companies. James started his career at Bear, Stearns & Co. in its corporate finance department working on M&A and capital raising transactions for aerospace/defense, technology, and information services companies. James received his B.S. in Economics in 2001 from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, with a dual concentration in Finance and Accounting.
