Mr. Izzo has a long-tenured career in commercial banking, private debt and private equity. Mr. Izzo joined MSouth in 2019. Prior to MSouth, Mr. Izzo served as Managing Director of Fidus since 2018. Prior to joining Fidus, Mr. Izzo was employed by Ares Management as Managing Director and Head of the Washington, D.C. office with coverage of the Mid-Atlantic and Texas territories. Prior to the acquisition by Ares, Mr. Izzo was Managing Director of Allied Capital Corporation leading a team managing a $1 billion credit portfolio. In addition, Mr. Izzo served as Credit Committee Chairman for five Allied Capital Senior Debt CLOs. Mr. Izzo also held senior corporate finance and credit positions at Banc One Capital Markets and NationsBank. Mr. Izzo holds a B.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and an M.B.A. from the Red McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
