Bio

James Kim is an Executive Director of Morgan Stanley. Mr. Kim joined the firm in 2021 and focuses on private equity transactions in Korea. Mr. Kim currently serves as a Director on the board of Jeonju Onepower and Jeonju Paper. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, he was with Affirma Capital (formerly known as Standard Chartered Private Equity) in Seoul, where he led numerous growth capital and buyout investments, secondary transactions, and divestments across a broad spectrum of sectors, including consumer retail, auto parts, and environmental services. Mr. Kim received a BA from Brown University and an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business.
