Bio

Bill Reiland is a Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of North Haven Expansion Credit and a Managing Director of Morgan Stanley based in New York. Over the course of his 35 years of experience, Mr. Reiland has invested, structured, and marketed over 100 credit and equity transactions representing over $10Bn. Mr. Reiland initially joined Morgan Stanley in 1993 and became Head of Morgan Stanley’s Global High Yield Debt Research department in 2001. Mr. Reiland was ranked as the top health care high-yield research analyst by Institutional Investor in 2000, 2001 and 2002. In 2006, Mr. Reiland joined MSPI where he led and executed private investments on behalf of Morgan Stanley. Mr. Reiland led investments in several of MSPI’s most successful investments, including JHP Pharmaceuticals and Grifols SA. In 2008, Mr. Reiland left Morgan Stanley and joined Leerink Swann, where he was responsible for originating, structuring and marketing debt securities. In 2013, Mr. Reiland became a partner at Oberland Capital Management, a structured fixed income and equity royalty fund. Mr. Reiland rejoined Morgan Stanley in 2014 to lead the North Haven Expansion Credit effort. Mr. Reiland’s experience also includes time at Bain & Co., Stanford Hospital, Cowen and Co., and Stifel Nicholas. Mr. Reiland graduated with a B.A. in Economics from Yale University and an MBA, with distinction, from the Tuck School of Graduate Business Administration, where he was a Tuck Scholar.
