Matt Maddox currently serves as an Operating Partner on the Private Equity Investment Team. Mr. Maddox brings more than 25 years of experience across hospitality, business operations, and corporate finance to MidOcean. One of Wynn Resorts’ first employees, Mr. Maddox joined the company when it was founded in 2002 as Treasurer and Vice President of Investor Relations. In 2003, he was the first Wynn employee to move to Macau as the Chief Financial Officer of Wynn Resorts Macau, known as one of the most successful integrated resorts ever created and the only resort in the world with eight Forbes Five Star awards. He later served as Chief Financial Officer of Wynn Resorts and President of Wynn Resorts before assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer of Wynn Resorts in 2018. Under Mr. Maddox’s management, Wynn Resorts transitioned from a founder-led enterprise to an exemplary global public company, successfully opened the Encore Boston Harbor, and invested more than $500 million in Wynn Las Vegas, significantly increasing both gaming and non-gaming market share as CEO. Mr. Maddox spent his early career as an investment banker at Bank of America before working in corporate finance at Park Place Entertainment, which later became known as Caesars Entertainment. Mr. Maddox earned a Finance degree from Southern Methodist University.
