Prior to joining Metric Capital Partners, Phil was a Partner at Kelso Place Asset Management, a UK private equity investor in underperforming businesses. From 2002 to 2009, Phil was the CEO and Managing Director of Sun European Partners, LLP, a leading European private equity investor in operational turnarounds and distressed European businesses. Phil spent twelve years, from 1991 to 2003, with Lehman Brothers where, most recently, he was Managing Director and Co-head of the firm’s European telecommunications practice. Phil also served with Chemical Bank from 1986 to 1989 in Europe and the United States in Leveraged Finance. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, with First Class Honours, from the London School of Economics and Political Science and his Masters of Business Administration from the Stern School of Business, New York University.
