Laura is a venture capital veteran with complete fund lifecycle expertise, having helped launch and/or managed 12 venture capital, private equity, and fund-of-funds programs. With 30 years of CFO experience in venture, she easily anticipates and helps fund clients craft solutions for legal, financial, portfolio and regulatory issues. With an innate entrepreneurial spirit and a family business operations background, Laura matches the enthusiasm of emerging managers for building successful venture capital firms. Laura serves on the Investment Committee of the Meritage Funds. Prior to Meritage, Laura was the CFO and a general partner of the Centennial Funds and worked in audit and tax at KPMG, LLP, as a CPA. She earned her undergraduate business degree at Iowa State University and her MBA from Rutgers University. She was named Outstanding Women in Business – Denver Business Journal (2003) and received the Iowa State University College of Business Citation of Achievement Award. She is a director of Vital Learning and volunteers with the Colorado Carriage Driving Society.
