Doug has been a member of the Meridian team since the founding of the firm. As the lead Financial Analyst, he has over twelve years experience assisting private equity groups evaluate, close, and manage targeted acquisitions. Doug has been a member of the Meridian team since the founding of the firm. As the lead Financial Analyst, he has over twelve years experience assisting private equity groups evaluate, close, and manage targeted acquisitions. Acquisitions included airlines, an airplane engine repair company, a quarter billion dollar restaurant chain, and a nationwide equipment rental company. Previously, he served as CFO, Secretary, Treasurer and Board member of private and publicly held companies following years as a CPA and head of Internal Audit with local and national firms. He has taken on CFO roles for several of the portfolio companies. Doug’s experience from due diligence to instituting new financial systems, benefit plans and ongoing treasury management functions have been invaluable to the success of the entities during the crucial transition periods, particularly in a carve out of divisions from large entities. Doug’s familiarity with tax rules and related matters, in various jurisdictions, is an asset to Meridian. Doug’s operational accounting background, as well as his experience as a CFO and chief administrative officer, dealing with shareholders and lending institutions alike, has allowed him to take on key roles with portfolio companies. Doug is a graduate of The College of William & Mary and is a member of Sigma Chi fraternity.
