Ms. Badenes has been at Meridia Capital since its inception back in 2006. She has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry and is responsible for leading global investor relations and capital raising for the firm. She focuses on new client partnerships as well as deepening existing investor relationships. Over the last few years Ms. Badenes has been instrumental in developing the firm’s institutionalisation efforts. As head of corporate development she is responsible for new business initiatives and plays an integral role in developing the fund management group’s strategy while she promotes Meridia Capital’s franchise globally. Prior to joining Meridia Capital, she was an Executive Director in the Equity Research Department of UBS Investment Bank in London. Ms. Badenes was ranked second best analyst in the sector in Europe by the Thomson Extel Pan-European Survey. She was also selected as one of the UK’s top-10 stock-pickers from among 1,100 financial analysts. Prior to that she worked in London as a Vice President in the Equity Research Department of Dresdner Kleinwort. Ms. Badenes began her career in the Mergers & Acquisitions Department of JP Morgan and Salomon Brothers in London. She graduated with honours in Economics and Business Administration at Universidad de Barcelona and holds an MBA from IESE Business School.
