Rene A. Rodriguez, a Partner at Medina Capital, has more than a decade of experience as a finance executive with expertise in managing financial operations, capital markets, investor relations, financial analysis and mergers and acquisitions. Rene helps Medina Capital support its private equity investment goals by managing all financial needs across each phase of the private equity lifecycle to drive top line growth for the business. He is responsible for evaluating potential investments, fund raising and financial guidance across the portfolio. Rene provides Medina Capital’s portfolio companies with guidance on financial and accounting operations, legal operations and corporate governance and compliance. Rene serves as Medina Capital’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer. Rodriguez currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Appgate, a Medina Capital portfolio company. Prior to joining Medina Capital, Rene was Terremark’s VP of Financial Planning and Corporate Controller. In these roles he was responsible for accounting, financial and regulatory reporting, compliance, cash management, mergers and acquisitions and integration. Prior to joining Terremark, Rene held various positions at the Burger King Corporation focusing on worldwide valuation, process improvement, investment analysis and international fraud audits. Rene started his professional career as part of the assurance practice at BDO Seidman LLP focusing on the firm’s financial services, technology, hospitality and aviation clients in South Florida, the Caribbean and Central America. Rene received his Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame and his Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Miami.
