Dan assists in the overall management of the firm and is responsible for development of investment theses, due diligence, deal structuring, negotiations, transaction execution and portfolio management. Dan was a Principal at Valor Equity Partners, a Chicago based, operationally active private equity firm, from 1998 to 2010. In his prior role, Dan participated in numerous investment platforms and add-on acquisitions across a variety of industries including industrials, consumer discretionary, consumer staples, materials and energy. Dan’s responsibilities spanned traditional and non-traditional roles including origination, selection, analysis, structuring, and execution of equity investments. In addition, Dan was involved broadly in operational activities including the development of internal infrastructure and fund operations as well as traditional board and interim management roles within the portfolio. Immediately prior to founding May River Capital, Dan served as Operations Officer for Corporate Risk Solutions, a boutique risk management advisory firm serving the alternative asset community, from 2010 to 2012. Dan holds a B.E. from Vanderbilt University.
