Bio

Surya oversees all investment activities at Madison India Capital. He has approximately twenty years of private equity investment experience in business services, financial services, consumer and technology industries. He has served on the board of directors of several companies in India and the U.S. Prior to joining Madison India, Surya worked at Sandler Capital, a firm with $2 billion under management, where he focused on making private equity investments in the media, communications and information sectors. Previously, Surya worked at HarbourVest Partners as well as the Investment Banking Group at Morgan Stanley. He has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, a B.A. from Hamilton College and a B.S. from Columbia University.
