Brian Rath is an Operating Partner at Lorient. Previously, he was a Partner at Walthausen & Co., a $1.5 billion investment management company. He oversaw the firm’s healthcare investment strategy, focused primarily on small to mid-cap U.S. equities with a value-driven approach. Prior to that, Brian was an investment banker at B.C. Ziegler & Co. He advised companies on M&A and capital raising transactions across a wide spectrum of healthcare subsectors including physician practices, ambulatory surgery centers, telemedicine, population health management, post-acute care, revenue cycle management, and healthcare information technology. Brian started his career at Churchill Capital as a research analyst, covering risk-arbitrage strategies for U.S. and international hedge funds. Brian graduated from the University at Albany with a Bachelor of Science in Financial Analysis and Economics (with honors). He also is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
