Bio

Tomoya Sugimoto is a Partner of The Longreach Group, Inc. and one of its founding members. Tomoya has held leading roles across sourcing, execution, post-acquisition value creation and exits in a number of Longreach’s Japan investments in the consumer related, industrial and technology, and business services sectors. Tomoya has also played a key role in maintaining and enhancing investor relations for Longreach’s investors in Japan. Before joining The Longreach Group Inc., Tomoya was an Executive Director in Technology Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley, where he advised large Japanese technology companies on the execution of carving out non-core businesses, acquisitions and financings. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Tomoya started his banking career at The Long Term Credit Bank (now Shinsei Bank) where he was focused on capital markets transactions as well as corporate financing activities, mainly for the Bank’s Asian clients. Tomoya received his B.A. in Economics from Hitotsubashi University and his MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
