Masamichi “Masa” Yoshizawa is Representative Director and Partner of The Longreach Group, Inc. which he co-founded in 2003. Masa’s lead responsibilities include Firm management, business development, and investment strategy with a focus on the industrial and technology, business services and consumer related sectors. Since inception, Masa has been involved in sourcing, post-investment value creation and exit across many corporate divestiture and founder succession investments. Prior to Longreach, Masa was Managing Director and Head of Technology and Healthcare Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley Japan, where he advised large Japanese conglomerates on execution of major carve-outs of non-core businesses in the semiconductor, IT services, healthcare products, and other industrial related areas. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Masa spent seven years at Robertson, Stephens & Company as Managing Director and Head of the Tokyo office where he established its start-up operations in Tokyo including investment banking and asset management businesses. Masa started his banking career at The Sumitomo Bank, Tokyo. Masa received his Bachelor of Laws from Hokkaido University and was Valedictorian of his class. Masa served as Chairman of the Japan Private Equity Association in 2015-2017, and he is an active member of Japan Association of Corporate Executives.
