Mark Chiba is Group Chairman and Partner of The Longreach Group, which he co-founded in 2003. Mark's responsibilities cover Firm management and investment strategy, senior relationship-driven deal origination and execution across Longreach’s sector and geographic focus, and building the Firm’s capabilities, capital base and global networks. Mark also works closely with Longreach’s investment professionals and company management teams across the portfolio to support value creation and exits. Immediately prior to Longreach, Mark held senior roles at UBS including CEO and President of UBS Securities Japan, Chairman of Asia-Pacific Investment Banking, and membership of the UBS Global Investment Bank Board and Global Investment Banking Management Committee. Mark holds First Class Honours degrees in Economics (University of Melbourne) and Law (University of Sydney). He is a Rhodes Scholar with a Master of Philosophy degree in International Relations (with Distinction) from Oxford University. Mark has served as a member of the Australian Government’s Trade and Investment Policy Advisory Council. He is active in supporting the development of the Rhodes Scholarships and in other not-for-profit causes.
