Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Patel was a founding member of the investment team at Navab Capital Partners. Previously, he was an Associate Partner at 3G Capital, where he had a leading role in investing 3G’s liquid assets in fundamental long and short positions across a range of industry sectors, including consumer, technology, business services, industrials, and financial services. In addition, he spent over two years on the private side of 3G’s business at The Kraft Heinz Company, a 3G / Berkshire Hathaway portfolio investment, where he ran several billion-dollar branded consumer businesses. In his roles as General Manager of the Kraft Heinz Sauces and Coffee businesses, he led significant turnaround programs focused on reinvigorating sales growth through innovation, e-commerce and effective marketing strategies, while delivering sustainable operational improvements. Prior to joining 3G, Mr. Patel was a Principal at KKR, where he focused on private investments primarily in the consumer, media and technology sectors. In addition to executing investments and managing portfolio holdings in the U.S., he played a significant role in establishing KKR’s Latin America investing platform. Mr. Patel started his career in M&A advisory at Lehman Brothers / Barclays Capital. He graduated summa cum laude from New York University, where he studied Finance and Pre-Medicine.
