John Eckman is a co-founder and managing partner of Lone Rock Technology Group. John’s experience includes over 15 years of private equity and entrepreneurial leadership. John was previously a Vice President of The Carlyle Group, where he focused on leveraged buyout opportunities in the technology and business services sectors. Prior to Carlyle, John was a Vice President of Liberty Partners, where he completed numerous investments in software and technology companies, including NetQoS. John’s prior experience also includes a position in the Mergers & Acquisitions group of Bowles Hollowell Conner & Co., a leading middle market investment bank serving the private equity industry. John also co-founded SpineSelect, where as President, he led the company from start-up to an established player in the field of medical devices for minimally invasive spine surgery. John received an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, with honors, where he was designated a Palmer Scholar. He received a B.A. in Economics from Davidson College, cum laude, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
