Matt Kelty is a Managing Partner and Co-Founder of LNC Partners. He has focused on private company investments since 2000 as a control equity sponsor, a minority equity investor, and also as a lender to these companies. He has served as a chairman, director, or active observer on the boards of companies across a broad range of industries including (but not limited to) insurance, business services, and logistics. In these positions, Mr. Kelty has played a hands-on role in supporting portfolio company growth by sourcing acquisitions, improving business processes, and supporting M&A execution and capital raising. Prior to co-founding LNC, Mr. Kelty spent 6 years with Allied Capital Corporation rising from an Associate to Principal and served as member of the Investment Committee. During his tenure at Allied, he sourced and executed numerous buyout and debt transactions and also led the development of a niche industry practice focused on insurance services. Before joining Allied in 2004, Mr. Kelty was an Associate at Blue Point Capital Partners in Cleveland, OH, where he executed numerous middle market buyout transactions. He began his career at Lehman Brothers in their Fixed Income Division in New York.
