Bio

As a co-founder of Lighthouse Equity Partners, Joe brings two decades of experience in private equity, investment banking, and principal investing. He has extensive investment, operational, strategic and governance experience in both Canada and the United States. Before co-founding Lighthouse, Joe was a Director with Tricor Pacific Capital, a leading Canadian-based middle market buyout and growth equity investor focused across Canada and the Western/Midwestern US. Joe returned to Canada in 2006 joining Tricor from Credit Suisse Private Equity in New York where he was a principal of one of the largest and most successful private equity investment funds in the world. At Credit Suisse, Joe led investments and built value across funds with combined total capital commitments of over $8 billion. Joe was directly responsible for managing over $1.5 billion of investments. Earlier in his career, Joe was an investment banker in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of JP Morgan & Co. in New York, where he advised on more than $10 billion in transactions. He has also worked in London, UK, as a member of the equity risk arbitrage investment team at Morgan Stanley & Co and began his career with M.K. Wong & Associates in Vancouver, a $3 billion private investment manager. Joe has provided strategic, financial, and operational guidance with his involvement on the boards of numerous companies at all stages of growth in Canada and the US. He has actively supported the growth and best practices of a world-class private capital industry in Canada through active leadership in key industry organizations such as ACG and CVCA.
