Yoo Jin Kim Bio

Mr. Kim joined Lee Equity in 2006 and is a Partner of the firm. Prior to joining Lee Equity as one of the founding Partners, Mr. Kim was a Principal at Bain Capital, a global private equity investment firm. Mr. Kim joined Bain Capital in 1994 and his entire tenure was in the North American Private Equity group in the Boston and New York offices. Mr. Kim was involved with a number of successful growth buyouts, including Domino’s Pizza, Integrated Circuit Systems, Stream International, Innophos, and Wesley Jessen VisionCare. Mr. Kim’s private equity investment experience at Bain Capital was in multiple sectors including business services, distribution, healthcare, media, and industrial. Prior to joining Bain Capital, Mr. Kim was a strategy consultant at Corporate Decisions, Inc. focused on growth strategies for several sectors, including business services and healthcare. Mr. Kim serves or has served on the board of directors of Alliance Corporation, Aimbridge Hospitality, Cadent Network, Discovery Senior Living, Eating Recovery Center, Inception Fertility, InterLuxe, Papa Murphy’s, Paragon Industries, Summit Behavioral Health, The Living Company and Unlimited Technology. Mr. Kim received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and received an A.B. in Biochemistry from Dartmouth College, with Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude honors. Mr. Kim serves or has served on several nonprofit organizations including as Board Trustee of The Hockaday School, former Advisory Board to the Dartmouth College Fund Committee, and former Board Trustee of Grace Church School.
