Bio

David leads LDC’s team in the East Midlands and East of England. He supports ambitious management teams across the region who are looking to grow their business with the backing of a private equity partner. Since joining LDC in 2016, he’s supported a number of the firm’s high profile partnerships. This includes LDC’s investments in IDSL, water and environmental consultancy Stonbury, UK’s No.1 milkshake brand Shaken Udder, Neilson Active Holidays, the UK’s leading provider of overseas active holidays, and Ensek, one of the UK’s top 20 cloud technology businesses. He also supported existing portfolio company, Aquavista, in the transformational acquisition of Castle Marinas. He led the minority investment and exit of managed IT and cyber services provider Littlefish. and supply teachers provider The Edwin Group. During our three-year partnership with CEO Steve Robinson the business almost doubled revenues and headcount and continued to win significant client contracts. In addition, he played a key role in the firm’s exits and re-investments into Atcore Technology Group and Forest Holidays. David is actively involved in LDC’s Backing Youth Ambition partnership with The Princes’ Trust and has been involved in a number of recent initiatives at schools in the Midlands. With more than 15 years’ experience, David joined LDC from GLP, the leisure and consumer focused advisor and investor, where he was a Managing Director focused on UK transactions. At GLP, he worked with household name brands such as Virgin Active, British Car Auctions, Stonegate Pubs, Wolseley, Principal Hayley and Betfred. After graduating from London School of Economics, David qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC in London.
