Tim Sumner co-founded Knox Investment Partners in 2004. He is a Managing Director of the firm and a Director and Investment Committee member of Knox Investment Partners Funds I – IV. Tim has more than 10 years international private equity experience including CSFB Private Equity and DLJ Merchant Banking operations in New York. Specialising in deal origination, structuring, negotiation and execution, Tim has led Knox deals across the Asia Pacific region investing in excess of $100 million. Tim began his career with KPMG in Auckland and then Moscow, developing a sound platform of financial analysis and financial statement construction. Tim then moved to Credit Suisse in London and New York and was involved in private equity fund administration and reporting, portfolio valuation and management, overseeing in excess of US$5bn of investments. Tim graduated from Otago University with a BCom Dip Grad majoring in Economics. He is a Chartered Accountant of the NZICA.
