Bio

Pete Stavros (New York) joined KKR in 2005 and is Co-Head of Americas Private Equity, a member of the Investment Committee within KKR’s Americas Private Equity platform, a member of the Health Care Strategic Growth Investment Committee and is co-chair of the firm’s Global Inclusion and Diversity Council. He has led a number of successful investments at KKR including HCA Healthcare, Ingersoll Rand, Capsugel, Capital Safety and CHI Overhead Doors. Prior to becoming Co-Head of Americas Private Equity, Mr. Stavros led the Industrials investment team where he pioneered an innovative employee engagement and ownership model. This approach has been successfully implemented at a number of companies and has positively impacted over 25,000 lower income employees. He has also helped non-KKR companies such as Harley-Davidson implement this model. Mr. Stavros is actively involved in forming and launching Ownership Works, a non-profit focused on broadening corporate ownership and enhancing the financial resiliency of the workforce. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Stavros was an investor with GTCR Golder Rauner, where he was involved in the execution of numerous investments in the health care sector. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry, magna cum laude, from Duke University and an M.B.A. with high distinction, Baker Scholar, from Harvard Business School.
