Hyoung Seok Lim (Seoul) joined KKR in 2016, is a member of the Private Equity team and co-leads the KKR Korea franchise. He has been involved in the firm’s investments in LS Automotive and KCF Technologies and is currently a member of the board of directors of LSAT. Prior to KKR, Mr. Lim had over 26 years of management consulting and operational experience, including 15 years at McKinsey & Co where he had worked in its New York and Seoul offices. At McKinsey, Mr. Lim led multiple large-scale transformation programs for Korea’s leading conglomerates, including business portfolio transitions and M&As/post-merger integrations. Subsequently, he served in various senior management roles at LG Electronics for 5 years, including the Chief operating officer of its European operations. More recently, he founded Compass LKL in London, an advisory firm focused on providing cross-border capital investment solutions for Korean companies. Mr. Lim holds a B.A. and an M.A. in Economics from Seoul National University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
