Bio

Ashish Shastry (Singapore) joined KKR in 2016 as a Partner and serves as the Co-Head of Private Equity for KKR Asia Pacific, and the Head of Southeast Asia. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Shastry served as a managing partner of Northstar Group for five years, which at the time managed over $2 billion in private equity and venture capital funds with a focus on Southeast Asia. Prior to joining Northstar, he worked at TPG Capital for over 13 years, ultimately running TPG's Southeast Asia business. Mr. Shastry previously worked as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers in New York 1996 to 1998. He currently serves or has previously served on the boards of Goodpack, PropertyGuru, Metro Pacific Hospital Holdings, Bank BTPN, Parkway Holdings and Parkway Trust Management (manager of Parkway Life REIT). He graduated from Princeton University with an A.B. degree in economics (with honors) and currently serves on the advisory board of the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies.
