Bio

Peter Schwab is a Managing Director and Member of the Investment Committee at Kinzie Capital Partners, where he is actively involved in investments and portfolio management. He is responsible for the sourcing and execution of investments, providing value-added oversight to portfolio companies, implementing strategic plans and assisting with the development of the Kinzie team. Peter has over 40 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, advising companies and building world-class teams. He began his career at Ernst & Young where he ultimately held the role of President of Ernst & Young Corporate Finance, LLC and was responsible for leading the organization nationally. In addition, Peter has held leadership roles at Piper Jaffray, where he served as Managing Director and a Group Head and was Senior Managing Director at Macquarie Capital. Peter currently serves on the Boards of Kinzie portfolio companies Colony Display and Chelsea Lighting. He is a well-known and respected leader as evidenced by his service on several private company and civic boards including the VMC Group, Thomas Instrument, the Lupus Foundation of America (past Chair) and Canine Companions for Independence. He is also an Advisory Board Member of the Jones School at Rice University. Peter has received several leadership awards, including the David Crosby Community Leadership Award from Piper Jaffray in 2015 and the National Research Leadership Award from the Lupus Foundation of America. He is a sought-out speaker and has been a guest lecturer at Rice University and Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Peter received a B.A. in Economics and Russian from Rice University and earned a Master’s in Accounting from the Jones School of Business at Rice University. In addition to his post-graduate education at Harvard University, Northwestern University and Duke Fuqua School of Business, Peter is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
