Chris Michalik is a Managing Director at Kinderhook. He has 25 years of healthcare services investing experience with a deep understanding of the trends and impact of government programs on the delivery of healthcare in the U.S. Chris was the Chairman of Wellcare Health Plans, one of the largest publicly traded managed care companies in the U.S., prior to its acquisition by Centene Corporation in 2020. Prior to Kinderhook, Chris was a partner at Soros Private Equity Partners, a multi-billion dollar leveraged buyout fund sponsored by George Soros. Chris started his investment career in the Investment Banking division of Salomon Brothers, where he specialized in mergers & acquisitions. Chris graduated from Yale University and received his MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School.
