Mr. Buschmann joined Kian Capital in November 2013 and is primarily responsible for business development, conducting due diligence activities on potential investment opportunities, and portfolio monitoring. Mr. Buschmann has spent over 15 years working with middle-market companies. Prior to Kian Capital, Mr. Buschmann was a Director in the U.S. Private Equity Group of Arcapita Inc., a global investment firm with total equity invested of approximately $9 billion, where he was responsible for sourcing, executing and managing middle-market companies. Prior to Arcapita, Mr. Buschmann was a Senior Analyst in the Corporate Finance group at The Robinson-Humphrey Company, a leading middle-market investment bank based in Atlanta. Mr. Buschmann has served on the boards of several middle-market companies and currently serves on the board of J. Jill, a leading multichannel fashion retailer of women’s apparel, accessories and footwear. In addition, he also serves on the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta. Mr. Buschmann holds an MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University, where he graduated first in his class, and a BA in Economics from Duke University.
