Prior to co-founding JWI Capital, Mr. Walinsky had more than 10 years experience in private equity sponsored buyouts and investments. Mr. Walinsky's involvement in private equity encompasses the entire capital structure, from underwriting senior secured debt to direct equity investing. From 2000 through 2009, Mr. Walinsky was a Director of Safeguard International Fund, L.P., a $305 million private equity fund focused on investments in advanced industrial technology companies. While at Safeguard International, Mr. Walinsky led the Fund's investments in AMG Advanced Metallurgical Group N.V. (AEX: AMG), Timminco Limited (TSX: TIM), International Fiber Corporation and Sudamin Metals Recycling Ltd. Mr. Walinsky began his professional career with Bank of America Securities, LLC in Chicago where he focused on underwriting leveraged loans and high yield debt to support leveraged buyouts. He continued with Bank of America Capital Investors, a $400 million captive mezzanine debt and private equity arm of Bank of America Corporation. Mr. Walinsky received his Master of Accounting and Bachelor of Business Administration from the University Of Michigan Ross School Of Business. Mr. Walinsky and his family reside in Moreland Hills, Ohio.
