Mr. Michas is the co-founder and has been the Managing Partner of Juniper since its inception. Mr. Michas has over 30 years of investment management and organizational leadership experience. He has been responsible for managing significant ownership and control equity investments in both private and public companies across a wide range of industries. His transactional expertise includes mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, debt and equity offerings, bank financings, recapitalizations, spin-offs and going private transactions. He is Chairman of the boards of directors of BorgWarner Inc. and PerkinElmer Inc. and serves as a director of Theragenics Corporation. Mr. Michas’ prior experience includes service on the board of directors of numerous public and private companies including AirTran Airways, Allied Motion Technologies Inc., Blue Bird Corporation, Burns International, Eckerd Corporation, Lincoln Educational Services Corp. and Packard BioScience Company. Mr. Michas is also a director of a family of funds managed by Atlantic Investment Management, Inc. Mr. Michas was the Managing Partner of Stonington Partners, Inc. from 1994-2011. Previously, he was a managing partner of Merrill Lynch Capital Partners, where he was employed from 1984-1994. He began his career in the investment banking division of Merrill Lynch. Mr. Michas received his B.A. from Harvard College and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
