Jonathan Lulu is Chief Capital Officer of Jaguar Growth Partners and serves as a member of the Investment Committee. Mr. Lulu is responsible for developing, managing and coordinating the firm’s relationships with fund investors, co-investors and other strategic capital resources. In conjunction with these responsibilities, Jon plays a key role in guiding the firm’s business development initiatives, fund formation activity, and portfolio company capitalization. Earlier in his career, Jon held a similar role with Equity International, where he coordinated investor relations and fund formation, advised on portfolio company co-investment and exits, and was an active participant in the company’s operating and investment decisions, particularly related to investments in Latin America and Asia. Immediately prior to Equity International, Jon gained extensive experience with international and emerging market private capital flows through his position with a specialist capital advisor, Presidio Partners. There, Jon contributed to the successful formation of funds sponsored by in-country fund managers seeking global institutional capital, particularly in India and China, as well as Europe and North America. Throughout his 24+ year career in the public and private real estate investment management industry, Jon has held a variety of responsibilities, including researching and developing strategy for LaSalle Investment Management; launching and managing real estate securities vehicles for JPMorgan Asset Management’s subsidiary, Security Capital Research & Management where he also held portfolio strategy/management responsibilities; and coordinating the IR/capital raising activities of a U.S. manager, where he was also a member of the firm’s investment committee. Across these various roles Jon has gained deep insights into the complexity of capital partnerships and the collaboration and communication required to effectively serve as a fiduciary steward of private global investor capital. Jon earned a B.A. from the State University of New York and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He has served on a non-profit board dedicated to homelessness prevention and is an avid skier.
