Since joining J-STAR as a founding member in 2006, Kenichi Harada has been involved in origination, execution, monitoring, and exiting. He is also involved in corporate activities as well as fund raising. Mr. Harada's supervising investments include WEGO, Honest, Yokoi Manufacuturing, Harita Metal, JC International Trade, Kugami Seiki, Primagest, Three Arrows, HCM, Olive des Olive, Tokachi, and Kazetodaichi. Prior to joining J-STAR, Mr. Harada worked at JAFCO where he was involved in the supervision of the privatization of Tocalo Co.,Ltd. (3433 JT) through TOB. The company was re-listed after an MBO (achieving a six-fold return on investment). He also oversaw investments of BancTec Japan and Watami no Kaigo Co., Ltd., while contributing to investment and exit strategies as a member of the buyout investment committee. At JAFCO, he gained experience in venture capital investments for 14 companies in the manufacturing and logistics retail industry, with 4 of those companies being IPO. Mr. Harada received a bachelor's degree from Tsukuba University. He is a Chartered Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan (CMA).
