Alberto Avanzo is a Senior Adviser to Izurium. Mr. Avanzo is actively involved in the development of Izurium’s credit strategy. Mr. Avanzo has around 30 years of investment experience, including his most recent position as Co-Head of Senior Loans and member of the Group’s Investment Committee with Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM). In this role he co-managed in excess of $10bn of assets focusing on both the European and the US loan markets. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Mr. Avanzo had senior roles in Leverage Finance in the Global Specialized Finance division at WestLB in London, and was Global Head of Leverage Finance at Sanpaolo IMI. He also spent several years at Sanpaolo Merchant Banking and at Continental Illinois in Milan and Chicago. Mr. Avanzo has a law degree from the University of Trieste and an MBA from the Bocconi University in Milan.
