Richard Kramer is Head of Risk Management which provides independent oversight and guidance for managing risk on an enterprise-wide basis including the development and implementation of risk management measures across the company covering investment, credit, liquidity and operational risks and capital adequacy. Risk management is part of the effort to build and sustain a strong culture in which all employees understand the importance of managing risk to deliver responsible growth and serve our clients. Richard is a member of the Firm’s Operating Committee and he serves on its Investment Committees and the Financial and Risk Management Committee. Richard joined Investcorp in 2011, before which he was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse, where he started as an analyst in the M&A department of Credit Suisse First Boston in London in 1997. During his tenure at Credit Suisse, Richard worked with the M&A, equity and debt capital markets departments, between London and Singapore, and was part of the Regional Management team for investment banking, private banking and asset management in Europe. Richard holds an MSc from the London School of Economics, a BA from Tufts University and a CEP diplome from Sciences Po, Paris.
