Bio

Ben has over 30 years’ experience in investment banking and over 25 years’ experience as a board director. He started at Kleinwort Benson before joining the investment bank Noble Group, where he was Chief Executive from 1997 to 2007 and Chairman from 2007 until its sale to Banco Espirito Santo in 2010. In the same year, Ben founded Inverleith as an investment firm focused on the consumer sector. He also co-founded Urbicus, a fund management company focused on acquiring property debt, where he was Chairman until 2017. He is a Physics graduate of Edinburgh University and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
