Intera represents the third phase of my career, and its absolute peak. I have the privilege of working at the core of the most dynamic and rapidly developing private equity firm’s corporate culture. Best of all, I have a chance to be involved in building new Finnish success stories. The years I spent in the banking sector in 1988-98 were marked by the deregulation of the Finnish money market and the subsequent casino economy, a serious banking crisis, and a deep recession, but also by a surprisingly quick recovery and a long-lasting market upswing. It was during this time that I got very familiar with debt financing and Finnish entrepreneurs. While working at Capman in 1998-2006 I came to learn pretty much all the rest about financing. Case Mehiläinen represented my true formative experience. I have been able to apply the acquired knowledge and experience in cases like Mikeva, Silmäasema and Stella.
