Bio

Richard Matus joined Insight in 2021. He focuses on software & services investments in enterprise markets that can benefit from adoption of technology and AI, across minority growth and majority opportunities. Prior to Insight, he was a member of the investment team at Golden Gate Capital and a Senior Associate Consultant at Bain & Company. Richard also worked in Corporate Development & Strategic Finance at Compass, where he supported the Series E capital raise achieving a $2 billion valuation, later resulting in a $7 billion valuation at IPO. Originally from Chicago, Richard graduated first in his class from Washington University in St. Louis with a BSBA in Finance and Operations, summa cum laude. Outside of work, Richard enjoys live music, travel, hiking, and is embarrassingly competitive at pickleball.
