Mr. Dym has over thirty years of experience in the asset-backed and structured credit products arenas, spanning the asset management, principal investing, lending, rating agency, and financial guaranty industries. His vast asset experience and knowledge includes a broad and diversified range of consumer and commercial asset classes and securities, cash flow streams, and operating businesses with a focus in the asset-based lending and specialty finance spaces. From 2008-2016, Mr. Dym was a senior member of the Asset Based Value Strategy at Perella Weinberg Partners, becoming a Partner of the firm in 2011. In this role he worked closely alongside David Schiff, Co-Founder, Partner and CEO of Innovatus Capital Partners, LLC. From 2005-2008, Mr. Dym served as Global Head of Structured Finance and Capital Markets and Member of the Executive Committee of financial guarantor, CIFG Services Inc. From 1994-2005 Mr. Dym held senior management positions at JP Morgan Securities, including Group Co-Head for North American Term Asset-Backed Securities, Asset-Backed Commercial Paper Conduits, and Principal Investments. From 1992-1994, he was a member of the Asset Finance Group at financial guarantor, Financial Security Assurance where he was responsible for originating, structuring, and analyzing various structured principal finance opportunities. From 1987-1992, Mr. Dym was an early member of the Asset-Backed Securities Group at Standard & Poor’s Rating Agency where he was responsible for (i) the research and publishing of rating criteria for many of the first securitized asset classes, (ii) the assignment of ratings on debt securities secured by a variety of consumer and commercial asset classes, and (iii) the ongoing monitoring and surveillance of outstanding ratings assigned by the Group. Mr. Dym serves on the Board of Directors of FC Holdco LLC (non-prime auto finance business) and is a former board member of Northpoint Commercial Finance LLC (non-auto dealer floorplan finance business). Mr. Dym received a B.S., Accounting from the State University of New York at Albany, and holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Dym was previously licensed to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in New York State.
