After starting out as a mergers and acquisitions consultant, Matthieu quickly turned to private equity, initially in Lyon with Naxicap. In 2002, he joined Initiative & Finance in Paris as a Partner. Matthieu has set up numerous LBOs, the most notable including a primary OBO of Moustache Bikes, the leading brand on the electric bike market, and a primary Bimbo of Vulcain Ingénierie, a consulting and engineering expert that now employs more than 1,600 people. Matthieu has a Master’s degree in Finance, Valuation and Buyouts and an MBA from EM Lyon.
