After a few years at Natixis (Crédit National at the time), Jean-Bernard moved into private equity in 1992 at Schroder Ventures (later to become Permira). That first experience in small-cap LBOs continued at Barclays Private Equity France from 1996 to 2003. At Initiative & Finance, Jean-Bernard has led around twenty investments, including the OBO of scientific equipment distributor Fondis Electronic, the acquisition of a minority stake in Laboratoires Vivacy (wrinkle filler products) and the MBOs of software firm Irium and wine merchant LGI WINES… not to mention the MBO of the management company Initiative & Finance Gestion by its Partners in 2010! Jean-Bernard is a graduate of HEC.
