Bio

Varun is a Director in the Igneo Infrastructure Partners team. He has been with the business in Sydney since 2014 before relocating to New York in 2019. Varun was involved in the acquisition of Patriot Rail and Ports, Rialto Bioenergy Facility and Terra-gen. Varun plays an ongoing asset management role on the investments and is currently a board director at Patriot Rail. Prior to his relocation to NY, Varun was involved in transaction origination, execution and asset management in Sydney. Prior to joining the team, Varun worked in the Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s internal M&A team for four years. Varun has a double degree in Bachelor of Applied Finance with Bachelor of Accounting from Macquarie University in Sydney. He is also a charter holder with the CFA Institute and Chartered Accountants Australia.
