Huntstone Capital was founded by Matthew Stone. Matthew (Matt) is a passionate and motivated entrepreneur who has developed a strong track record for successful execution, growth leadership, building long lasting relationships, and leading teams. His career has provided him opportunity to work with small to medium sized businesses across North America across a vast array of industries and verticals, including Manufacturing, Industrial Services, Distribution, and B2B services among many others. Prior to Huntstone, Matt helped build and lead a middle market investment banking team focused on providing advisory services solely to small to medium size companies in Canada to assist them with business transitions, acquiring businesses, and growth advisory. Matt has gained a breadth of experience across multiple industries i Matt has led multiple closed transactions, and often acted as an extension of his clients' management teams. Matt is proud to have built long lasting relationships and a large network around centers of influence and middle market stakeholders. Matt is proudly from Nova Scotia, Canada, where he grew up in a small town in a hardworking, entrepreneurial family. Matt graduated from St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, where he obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration. Matt is a CPA, CA and was awarded the David Hope Honor Role. Matt's personal interests include sailing, golf, hockey, fishing, hiking, cooking, reading, travel, and spending time with family. Matt is backed by a group of experienced entrepreneurs, operators, and world class investors who will bring significant industry expertise, operational best practices, and effective governance to its operations.
