Jim Green is the CFO and Business Development Manager for Humphrey Capital Group (HCG). He handles finance, banking, acquisitions, and divestitures for three manufacturing companies in the automotive, heavy duty truck, and heavy equipment industries. Jim joined HCG in 1987 and served as CFO for 12 years of Nelson Metal, a die caster in the automotive industry. He handled the financing for the fast growing company with sales growth from $18 million to $210 million in 15 years. He led the selling effort of this $175 million transaction in 1999. Prior to joining Nelson, Jim was a Division Controller of a $100 million automotive supplier division of Gulf & Western, a stamping and plating operation with plants in Michigan and Ontario, Canada. His experience with Gulf & Western also includes a controller position in Ohio where he was part of a business unit that increased sales threefold in the three years. Jim's 28 years of financial management experience is primarily based in the automotive supply industry at Soroc Products, Nelson Metal, and Gulf & Western with some work in the natural resources industry at Occidental Petroleum. In addition to financial management, he simultaneously served several years as Materials Manager, helping to reduce purchase costs and streamline delivery systems. Jim earned a B.S. in Accounting from Concord College.
