Stefan is the General Counsel and Chief Risk Officer at HPE where he is responsible for all the legal affairs of HPE as well as compliance and risk management. He is involved in both fund and portfolio matters. His work encompasses transaction management and execution, legal due diligence, legal advise, negotiating and drafting contracts. He joined HPE in 2013. Prior to HPE, Stefan worked for 12 years at two leading Dutch law firms. The first 8 years he was with De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek in Amsterdam. Thereafter, he joined Stibbe in Amsterdam, where he spent 2 years in their London office. At Stibbe, Stefan already advised HPE on various matters. He holds a degree in Law from the Leiden University.
