Bio

Hans is one of the Founding-Partners of HPE and has been with the firm since its inception in 2008. He moved into his current role as Chairman of the Advisory Board in 2021, in which he continues to actively support the partnership in building the firm. Prior to HPE, Hans was co-Founder and Managing Partner at Holland Corporate Finance from 1997 to 2008. Hans is also the co-founder and Chairman since 2004 of the Association for Corporate Growth in Holland, a non-profit for SME growth companies often backed by Private Equity. He also worked at PWC Corporate Finance from 1989 to 1997. He started his career as Petroleum Engineer at Shell in 1985. Hans has a MSc in Petroleum Engineering from Delft University of Technology and an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management. Hans was born and raised in Curaçao, lived in Thailand, Australia and Switzerland and finally settled in Amsterdam with his family.
